Open letter calls for prov-reg support

With the unprecedented challenges facing provisional registrants this year, we’ve joined with the Primary Care Pharmacy Association, British Pharmaceutical Students' Association and Guild of Healthcare Pharmacists to urge employers to do all they can so that provisionally-registered pharmacists have the best possible chance of qualifying and joining the full register.

We've co-signed an open letter to employers which recognises the amazing contribution of provisionally-registered pharmacists during COVID-19. It highlights the impact the pandemic has had on their training and the challenge of balancing working as a pharmacist alongside preparing for the pending registration assessment.

RPS President Sandra Gidley said: "We’re calling for employers of provisionally-registered pharmacists to provide access to revision days, dedicated study time and additional support."
