Candidates announced for the RPS National Board Elections 2019

We are delighted to announce we have had a total of 21 nominations for this year’s RPS National Pharmacy Board elections.

For the English Pharmacy Board election, we have received 11 nominations. The candidates are:

For the Scottish Pharmacy Board election, we have received six nominations. The candidates are:

Brian ADDISON

William BISHOP

Kathleen COWLE

Omolola DABIRI

David HENRY

John MCANAW

For the Welsh Pharmacy Board election, we have received four nominations. Ruth Mitchell has been elected unopposed to the Community Pharmacy (Employee) post. Sudhir Sehrawat has been elected unopposed to the Community Pharmacy (Contractor) post. An election will be held between Jamie Hayes and Adam Mackridge for the remaining any sector substantive vacancy.

Welcoming this news, Paul Bennett, CEO of the RPS, said: “I am delighted that this year we will have board elections in England, Scotland and Wales. It is fantastic to see that our members are seeking to stand for election in order to contribute to the work of the RPS and help shape the direction of our work in their respective nation.

“I’m looking forward to a competitive but positive and constructive elections campaign where our members will support the RPS Board candidates they believe in.”

Voting will open on 29 April and will close at 5pm on 16 May. Results will be announced as soon as possible on or about 17 May.
