Share your views on the proposed new National Care Service

RPS Scotland is holding a focus group to hear members’ views on the Scottish Government’s consultation on a new National Care Service.

This online event will take place on Tuesday 14th September from 3.30pm – 5pm.

The consultation is looking for views on a number of areas relevant to pharmacy, such as the use of digital systems and data. It is also reviewing the overall governance of social care, including whether the national care service should take responsibility for planning, commissioning and procurement of community health services, including GPs’ contractual arrangements. Alcohol and drug partnerships are being considered as they currently stand and we want your views on whether they should be changed to help guide our response. The consultation also asks what aspects of mental health services should go under a national care service which may impact on pharmaceutical services in this area

The comments and views that we gather from this event will be used to draft the RPS Scotland response to the consultation.

If you would like to attend the focus group, please email for joining details.

For anyone who cannot attend the event but would like to share their views, please send your comments to us by email.
