Community pharmacy local enhanced service – coronavirus vaccination (England)

Dr Keith Ridge, Chief Pharmaceutical Officer for England has issued a letter: COVID-19 vaccination: Governance, handling, and preparation of vaccines by designated community pharmacies. The letter sets out the principles and expectations necessary to maintain the integrity, and therefore safety, quality and effectiveness, of COVID-19 vaccines.

An agreement document has also been published that sets out how a COVID-19 vaccination service will be commissioned directly from community pharmacy. The letter and agreement can be accessed on the NHS England website.
