Help shape our GP Practice Vision for Pharmacy 2030

RPS Scotland is seeking views on the next phase in its vision for pharmacy in 2030 series, which is being developed in partnership with the profession.

We are seeking pharmacists and pharmacy team members working in general practice in Scotland (or who have a role supporting general practice pharmacy) to become members of an RPS short life working group to create our Pharmacy 2030 vision for the future of GP practice pharmacy.

If you are passionate about general practice pharmacy in Scotland, please complete this form by 5pm on Friday 7 May to receive a survey and feed in your views.

Clare Morrison, RPS Director for Scotland, said: “We want Pharmacy 2030 to be a vision that has been developed with pharmacists and pharmacy teams right across Scotland. That will make it a vision that really represents the whole profession’s views, so it is something everyone can get behind. RPS will then use Pharmacy 2030 to represent pharmacy and to lobby for change where it is needed.”

Ultimately, Pharmacy 2030 will be a vision for the whole pharmacy profession but to ensure we understand each sector fully, we are scoping the vision in stages. So far, we have scoped community pharmacy views (which is open for consultation until 1 July). Now we want to hear from general practice pharmacy. Further scoping will take place in the coming months on: Hospital pharmacy including patient facing and technical services; Specialist pharmacy services, including specific care settings (e.g., care homes, prisons); Non-patient facing pharmacy roles in education, industry and support services.
