RPS England comments on outcome of appeal of judicial review

Commenting on the decision by the Court of Appeal to uphold the High Court ruling that the reduction in funding imposed on community pharmacies in October 2016 was not unlawful, RPS England Chair Sandra Gidley said:

“This outcome has now concluded the review of the Secretary of State’s decision to reduce funding to community pharmacies.

“We understand the impact and anxiety this has caused across the sector. We hope that the Government will be able to move forward with the national pharmacy bodies to deliver on community pharmacy’s potential to improve the care of patients. We will work with all these partners and continue to champion the inclusion of pharmacists in the multidisciplinary team across the NHS.”
