Robbie Turner appointed RPS Director of Pharmacy and Member Experience

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Robbie Turner FRPharmS as its new Director of Pharmacy & Member Experience.

Robbie is currently RPS Director of England and joined the Society in January 2017. Prior to this he held the position of Chief Executive Officer for Community Pharmacy West Yorkshire (CPWY) and was previously a regional manager for Assura Group.

Robbie graduated in pharmacy from University of Bradford in 1999 and has recently completed study for a Master in Business Administration qualification at Leeds University Business School.

This new position is part of an executive team restructure of the RPS that will come into operation in July. In his new role Robbie will report directly to Paul Bennett, Chief Executive and will be accountable for developing and delivering all professional leadership elements and member services provided by the Society. Specifically, the Director of Pharmacy & Member Experience will lead the functions that develop and deliver Professional Standards, Professional Support, Professional Consultations, Member Events, Marketing & Communications and Public Relations activity.

The Country Directors for Scotland, Wales and England with their respective teams, will report directly to this new role and will continue to ensure that the policy decisions of the National Boards are developed and implemented effectively.
