Pharmacists must have support for second wave

Commenting on today’s COVID-19 Government press conference, RPS England Chair Claire Anderson said:

“Pharmacists and their teams continue to play a vital role in supporting the public during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“To help them protect the public, pharmacists need reassurances that they will be properly supported and resourced during the second wave.

“The profession must be included in any second wave planning, in order to ensure that the lessons learned from the first phase are taken into consideration.

“We welcome any opportunity to engage with the Government and the NHS on this and will work to ensure pharmacy teams are properly supported to deliver patient care safely and effectively.”
